DisCo: the Next Generation

The tools currently in use support the DisCo language as defined in 1992. In the meantime, we have colleceted experience and ideas that have now converged in a definition of a new version of the language. In the beginning of 1998 we started a project to implement a new set of tools to support the new language.

The new set of tools will include:

  • a portable compiler that produces
    • Java for animation
  • an animation tool based on Java, and
  • a tool for visualizing execution histories as scenarios.
